Seeing films ahead of release can inform not just bookings, but marketing and education activities around screenings. Matt Beere is the Learning and Participation Manager at Chapter, Cardiff, and he used the ICO Screening Days to help develop a Lifelong Learning project commissioned by Film Hub Wales.
“Over the course of a day and a half I was able to see 4 films which would work very well for the initiatives I am looking to develop,” says Matt. “I will be using my knowledge of these films to develop workshops and engagement activities that can be rolled out to other venues. I will also develop an online training toolkit to empower and train smaller venues to create their own activities.”
