The Cynon Valley Museum is a charitable trust and evolved as a Community Asset Transfer in 2016 and have since become a successful museum and community hub.

The museum houses the RCT Cynon Valley Heritage collection, supports diverse selection of local and national artists by exhibiting their works in their visiting exhibition galleries and by supporting external organizations such as the Jewish History Society, Cynon Valley History Society, Aberdare Writers Circle, Cynon Valley LBGTQ+ group, Criw Celf and various other wellness/wellbeing groups.
