Morphine & Dolly Mixtures

Set in Cardiff in the late 1950's, about a 12 year old girl who has to look after her brothers and sisters when her mother dies. The father is a tyrant, who ill-treats her and plants the idea that it is her fault that her mother died from a brain tumour. When the alcoholic father is hospitalised they are given temporary respite from his tyranny. Based on the autobiographical novel by Carol-Ann Courtney.
