Matilda Film Guide 

A film guide that looks at Matilda (1996), an adaptation of the popular Roald Dahl book about a girl with sunny self-reliance and special powers who’s at a school with a bullying headmistress.

This guide is useful for exploring topics including English and Literacy in addition to highlighting themes surrounding friendships, anti-bullying, school life and Roald Dahl.

Learning Through Film – Fantastic Mr Fox

This resource for Primary teachers is based on the film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s hugely popular Fantastic Mr Fox, and features engaging activities to run in class or at your film club. The activities provide strong English and literacy links, as well as tapping into a range of other curricular subjects, including PSHE education, citizenship, art and design, technology and music.
