Due to adverse weather conditions, this event was re-scheduled to Sunday 22nd April, 2018.

We’re delighted to host the third annual gathering of Welsh-based rural community cinemas and film societies during the 2018 Borderlines Film Festival, the UK’s largest rural film festival on Saturday March 3, 2018 at Richard Booth’s Bookshop Cinema in Hay-On-Wye.

This year we’ll be meeting young audiences and the organisations that work with them.

Film Hub Wales partner with Flicks in the Sticks and Moviola to offer this special event which includes a panel with young programmers or professionals working in film. You’ll have a chance to meet with and put your questions to:

The session will be followed by a interactive young audience workshop from Media Active and catch up chaired by Moviola. Further event details will be announced, including a full schedule for the day.

Lunch will be included and exhibitors can also book tickets for a special Borderlines preview of The Shape of Water in the beautiful Bookshop Cinema. Please book your tickets online when available and FHW will cover the cost of your ticket*. We advise you to book ASAP, as the capacity of the cinema is 48. You can invoice us for the cost of your ticket. Just email the invoice to us with your booking confirmation or a copy of your ticket.

“Networking. Open discussion – very useful to understand what others are doing, and know others have similar problems and innovative solutions (food was excellent too).” – 2017 Attendee
