Boys Will Be Men is a haunting psychological drama debut feature from director Jack Magalong Williams and co-writer Luke Howe, drawing on personal experience and real conversation. From London to Wales, a disconnected group of young friends travel to honour a promise made to Ieuan, their youngest, now gone. Bound together by Liam's memories and a fragmented camcorder conversation, the group is led through a rugged landscape that mirrors the turbulence each of them is trying not to show. A coming-of-age story told in broken words and shifting looks, Boys Will Be Men asks a group of young men, unable to speak their grief, who they were before Ieuan lost his battle, and who they might yet become.
