BFI FAN Socio Economic Champion, Linnea Pettersson put together a case study with The Local Cinema Network. Launched in 2023, the project grew out of the pre-existing Creative Community Hubs Network.
Local Cinema Coordinator Morvern Cunningham conducted interviews with programme manager Louise Donoghue and Lead Artist Alice Betts from two of Local Cinema’s participating community cinema organisations: Craigmillar Now and North Edinburgh Arts, to discuss their approaches to film programming and community engagement.
