Merthyr Tydfil’s story is its people and its people are its story.
Y WERIN / HIRAETH explores both people and place, through a poetic narrative sewn together by lived experience and organic conversation, to arrive at an understanding of how Merthyr’s people and landscapes have influenced the town’s creatives.
Split into two parts, the fifteen-minute film is a conceptual piece which contrasts contemporary landscapes and video against traditional soundscapes and photography, offering a subjective, non-exploitative and honest look at Merthyr Tydfil.
