Horror – BFI Blockbuster Season 2022

In Dreams are Monsters: A UK-wide season charting how the monsters of horror have evolved, made physical the anxieties of their times, and how we react when faced with the monster within. 

Led by BFI, supported by National Lottery, BFI Film Audience Network and the ICO. The season ran from October – December 2022, coinciding with two big screen horror re-releases – the 40^th anniversary of Tobe Hooper’s all-time horror classic Poltergeist (1982) and the 20^th anniversary of Alejandro Amenábar’s double BAFTA nominated The Others (2002), which featured a chilling performance from Nicole Kidman.

Programming and information:
