Effi o Blaenau is a searing, modern, Welsh language drama filmed and set in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Based on Gary Owen’s much lauded and widely performed monodrama, Iphigenia in Splott.
The film was released on 19th June 2026 by MetFilm. It was developed and financed by S4C, with additional funding from Creative Wales.
