Chapter’s season kicks off with the school summer holidays and the release of Entertainment One’s The BFG, which opens at Chapter on Friday 22 July. On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July, screenings of The BFG will feature some pre-screening treats, including a visit by the wonderful Guest Who, a fun, pop-up photo studio, complete with handmade backdrops and vintage and hand crafted props. There’ll also be fun drop-in workshops for families to dabble in dreams over the weekend. Explore the world of the BFG with friends and families and get into the spirit of the film before retreating to the cosy cinema and escaping to the world of the Big Friendly Giant.

August brings an interactive and fully immersive cinematic experience of childhood favourite Matilda, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. For this special event Chapter will be supplying Scratch ‘n Sniff cards to accompany the screenings. There’ll also be a week-long workshop in the form of Stinky Flicks, where young people can join in and create an interactive screening of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
